When you look for "real ones" make sure it says REAL four leaf clover.

The shamrock is the symbol of St. Patrick the patron saint of Ireland, whose feast day is March 13. The reason it is his symbol is that it has *three* leaves. He used it to illustrate the doctrine of the trinity. The four-leaf clover is a good luck charm, but it is not a shamrock.
